Refund policy

Because plants are living things, all sales are subject to the policy below. We always package with care and are happy to help with plant care questions!

Shipped Plants

All shipped plant sales are final once the order leaves our care.

Plants are not eligible for return or refund due to:

  • Cosmetic shipping stress (bent, yellowing, or wilted leaves are normal)
  • Change of mind or ordering the wrong plant
  • Natural variation in size, color, or shape
  • Receiving a plant as a gift
  • Bare-root or pot-free shipping for plant safety

Local delivery & Pick up

If your plant is locally delivered or picked up, please contact us within 24 hours of receipt with any concerns.

  • Plants must be reviewed in person
  • Exchanges may be approved at Plant Bae’s discretion

Plants cannot be mailed back for return or exchange

Pests or fungal issues

If your plant arrives with a pest or fungal issue:

  • Email clear photos within 48 hours of delivery
  • Claims submitted after 48 hours cannot be accepted

If approved, you may choose:

  • A return with shipping covered by Plant Bae, or
  • Complimentary treatment guidance to help your plant recover

Rare or collector plants

All rare or collector plants are final sale.
Due to their delicate nature, we cannot offer refunds or replacements for transit damage. We’re always happy to help with aftercare tips!
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Final Sale Items

We do not accept returns or exchanges on:

  • Soil, sprays, fertilizers, or plant care products
  • Planters with plants already potted
  • Consumable items
  • Sale or promotional items
  • Accessories 
  • Functional items with damaged packaging

Damaged non-living items

If a non-living item arrives broken or unusable:

  • Submit photos within 48 hours of delivery
  • Approved claims may receive a refund or replacement

Minor cosmetic imperfections or functional items with damaged packaging are not eligible.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
